Gauchos Steakhouse (formerly named Downtown Brazilian Steakhouse) located in Peekskill at 5 North Division St., will celebrate its grand opening on Friday, June 9 at 5 p.m., the restaurant's owners announced on social media.
The restaurant is a Brazilian-styled steakhouse that serves fire-roasted meats inspired by South American cuisine, including picanha, a top sirloin cap; costela, also known as beef rib; and churrasco mixto, which features sausage, sirloin, and chicken with bacon and pork rib.
Additionally, unique entrees include frango con bacon, which consists of chicken wrapped with bacon with white rice and french fries; fried tilapia; and salmao grelhado (grilled salmon).
Those who attend the eatery's grand opening celebration on Friday will be able to take advantage of discounted food and an all-day happy hour, the owners announced.
Make sure you stay long enough for dessert too, as the restaurant also serves sweets like vanilla ice cream and churros.
